Wind Analysis Report 

An analysis of the regional winds for the proposed airport site was developed using data  aggregated from nearby Automated Surface Observation System (ASOS) systems in the Iowa Environmental Mesonet hosted at Iowa State University. The following results present the historical surface wind speeds and direction as a wind rose based on observations from 2001 - 2023 and plotted in the figures below. 

The first figure is the aggregate wind rose over the observation timeframe and the following images present the monthly winds grouped by season.
